 Scents

Deer have a great sense of smell; you need to keep your body free of scents.  Their great sense of smell can also come to your advantage. 

   A cover scent is something that will hide your scent with natural smells.  You usually put scents on your skin, clothing or shoes.  You can also hang cloth soaked in natural scents around your stands to hide your scent. There are also attractants.  They will lure a deer into your gun or bow range.  Some kinds of attractants are doe urine, vanilla, licorice, or feeding smells. Do not ever put doe urine on you because a deer might attack you.
