Muzzleloaders

A muzzleloader is a type of gun that is open on one end so you can load it from there. Many people use them because they think it is fun.  It’s a challenge to use it.  You only get one shot at an animal.  And it’s also dangerous cause if the gun powder is hit with a spark or flame it would explode. Here are the steps to load it

1.       pore the right amount of gun powder in to the barrel

2.       load the ball in to the barrel

3.       use a ramrod to shush the ball and powder in

Rifles

A rifle is a gun that fires bullets. The inside of the barrel has spirals to give it a spin that helps accuracy. Most hunters use rifles for big game. They use them because they take less time to shoot. There are three shooting positions. The stranding up position is good for short range shots. The kneeling down position is good for long range shots. The lying down position is good for accurate shots.

Shot guns are used for birds and small game. You would use a shot shell for these types of anamals. Hunters use shot guns for big game to by using a slug hot that is like a rifle shot but it dousent go as far. That why hunters use shot guns when close by a camp or something. The two types of shot gun shells are down below
